Lisa Lurie

I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Breast Cancer at age 47. I underwent a double mastectomy, (without reconstruction), chemotherapy, and an oophorectomy. In a very short period of time I became bald, breast-less, and bloated from steriods. It was soul destroying! Not just for me, but for my family as well.
When my treatment was over, I became determined to help other women facing all forms of cancer, recover with dignity, self-esteem, and personal style. I co-founded a company, Cancer Be Glammed to prepare them for the body-altering, appearance-related side effects of surgery and treatment and to offer easy-access to product and lifestyle solutions. Our website,
empowers women to #RecoverInStyle
