Spices for Life
I recently came across an article by Dr. Murad where he talks about the traditional healing herbs and spices. He recommends using these six ingredients when seasoning meals instead of salt to avoid cell damage, rid waste water, and reap their health benefits, while still adding a little flavor!
Ginger | Helpful for arthritis, blood clots, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, migraines, and motion sickness. |
Turmeric | Being studied as a treatment for Alzheimer's disease, arthritis, cancer, and diabetes. |
Chili or Cayenne | Prevent stomach ulcers and reduce risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, and strokes |
Garlic | Lowers cholesterol and triglycerides and helps to reduce risk of colon and stomach cancers. |
Cumin | Great natural detoxifier, source of iron, and metabolism booster. Helps improve kidney and liver function. |
Mustard Seeds |
Source of calcium, iron, magnesium, omega-3, phosphorus, protein, and zinc. |
