Meet My "Cancer Coach"

I want you to meet a woman who has been at the helm of my medical team this past year, my oncologist, Dr. Ruth Oratz. She is the reason that I chose to do "neoadjuvant" therapy, or, chemotherapy before surgery. In treating my cancer before the surgery my doctors were able to see living proof of how effective the treatment was on me and my tumors. In my case, this also allowed for greater conservation of breast tissue, making my lumpectomy a smaller surgery. She helped arm me with the information I needed to make informed decisions and she's here to share her expertise with all of you.
