Joan Lunden Behind Closed Doors: Winter Olympic Training
It's Lake Placid, New York, where the summer sun doesn't stop the training for winter sports. Two massive ski jumps 13 and 26 stories tall, built at a cost of 5.4-million dollars, allow ski jumpers to fly off the slopes even in the middle of summer. The freestyle skiers, famous for spectacular acrobatics in the air, keep their edge during the summer jumping off ski ramps and landing in swimming pool...with their skis on.
