Do You Have Dense Breasts?

I'm headed to Washington, DC, to advocate for a womans' right to know breast density results of her own mammogram tests. I'll be meeting with Nancy Capello of AreYouDense.org, who had 11 straight years of mammograms before discovering she had cancer that was masked from imaging tests due to dense breast tissue. She joined me for a video chat with ALIVE producer Elizabeth Ford, who had never even heard of breast density before she started working for ALIVE. When she heard that 40% of women do have dense breasts, she called her doctor to find out. She shares her story of being told "not to worry about it" and "insurance doesn't pay for this," when she started looking into her mammogram records and asking for additional screening. #CatchYourCancer
