Be Like a Child: Believe in Miracles

I was so thrilled to join the 2015 team of Amgen's Breakaway From Cancer Champions. One of this year's honorees is Debra Katzenberger, a grandmother who lost her granddaughter, Kamryn, at age 8, after a three year battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She set out to honor her and create miracles for others by founding the Kamryn Lambert Foundation, which provides scholarship for medical studies and help for families and children undergoing cancer treatment, including "Kammie's Jammies," collecting more than 20,000 pairs of pajamas for kids in treatment. Her message for anyone battling cancer today: "Be like a child. Believe in miracles."
