A Survivor who Pays It Forward
Meet Maimah Karmo, breast cancer survivor and founder of the Tigerlily Foundation. At only 32 years old, Maimah felt a lump in her breast and was later diagnosed with breast cancer. Left with a 3 year old daughter to care for named Noelle, Maimah made it her mission to fight and survive, empowering her daughter along the way to be aware and take care of her own health. Now, Maimah pays it forward and works tirelessly to help educate other young women to know their bodies, understand their risks and to be their own health advocates.
