Dr. Judith Steinberg: The Doctor Becomes a Patient
During our travels to Massachusetts recently, we heard about a physician at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, who plays a role in setting healthcare policy in the state. Not too long ago, she was facing a cancer diagnosis herself. Her personal experience gave her great confidence in the clinical side of cancer treatment. But when it comes to the emotional and behavioral piece, there's work to be done. Take a listen to some of what Dr. Judith Steinberg has to say here, then leave your thoughts below in the comments section. What can we do to help women get the emotional support they need during a diagnosis and during treatment? We'll share your thoughts with the policy leaders in Massachusetts and beyond.
