Understanding Your Last Day of Treatment
The last day of your cancer treatment can be difficult and it might not be easy for everyone around you to understand. Family members and loved ones will give "graduation" presents, hugs and celebrations but your tears might not be from a place of happiness. No one understands this better than the nurses who are there with you every day. My chemo nurses, Joy and Nancy, really helped me feel comfortable on my last day of chemo and later they sat down with me to discuss how us patients can learn to live our lives again post treatment.
Do you have any stories from last days of treatment(s)? Share them in the comment section below - it can be so helpful to learn from someone else's experience.
